　　建中之初放驯象，远归林邑近交广。兽返深山鸟构巢，
　　鹰雕鹞鹘无羁鞅。贞元之岁贡驯犀，上林置圈官司养。
　　玉盆金栈非不珍，虎啖狴牢鱼食网。渡江之橘逾汶貉，
　　反时易性安能长。腊月北风霜雪深，踡跼鳞身遂长往。
　　行地无疆费传驿，通天异物罹幽枉。乃知养兽如养人，
　　不必人人自敦奖。不扰则得之于理，不夺有以多于赏。
　　脱衣推食衣食之，不若男耕女令纺。尧民不自知有尧，
　　但见安闲聊击壤。前观驯象后驯犀，理国其如指诸掌。
