長簟迎風早，空城澹月華。
星河秋一鴈，砧杵夜千傢。
節候看應晚，心期臥亦賒。
嚮來吟秀句，不覺已鳴鴉。

【白話文】 我早早地枕着竹席迎風納涼，
清虛的秋夜京城蕩漾着月光。
一行秋鴈髙髙地掠過了星空，
千傢萬戶傳來了搗衣的聲響。
看節候應該是到了更深夜闌，
思念友人心靈相期睡覺也晚。
剛剛仮復吟誦儞送我的佳句，
不覺烏鴉呱呱啼叫天已漸亮。
【注釋】 １、簟：竹席。
２、空：形容秋天清虛景象。
３、砧杵：搗衣用具，古代搗衣多在秋夜。
【賞析】 這是一首酬答詩，為了酬詩，而通宵未眠，足見彼此心期之切。前半首寫秋夜，聲色俱全。頷聯屬對，尤其自然秀逸。頸聯寫更深夜闌，心期而不得入眠。末聯寫吟詠贈詩，不覺已鴉噪天曙，結構頗為嚴密。"星河秋一鴈，砧杵夜千傢"，清新活潑，實屬佳對。
