 學山野燒異常登高泮宮如在火池中間泮師率諸生救之下至虀漿飲食悉以投火而撲滅護持一學固有功然不豫除草莽絶火路亦其過也戲為賦之

　　傳道官頗清，防患計微拙。
　　學宮墻外草，十裏望不絶。
　　芟除失豫備，滋蔓久盤結。
　　野燒因風起，四垣具烈烈，
　　堂上簾低垂，飛灰如落雪。
　　夭矯逼檐檻，流熛嚮門闃。
　　何但光孔聖，亦已照十哲。
　　諸生固猝猝，矩步未敢越。
　　相與望而畏，鹿駭驚鷗决。
　　似聞先生窘。書簏自提挈。
　　傾盆漿一空，戛斧羔亦竭。
　　勢過萬輿薪，杯水謾毫未。
　　頗欲伏忠信，石壁驗莊列。
　　顧茲煙燼高，難試膚與發。
　　護持終有物，遠近同撲滅。
　　趨涼尋木陰，氣定始焦渴。
　　三日冷官門，炙手猶可熱，
　　先生聽我言，事細不堪忽。
　　佧薪與去草，此理同一轍。
　　勿謂草今無，火過茅已茁。
