　　刘震云，男，1958年5月生于河南省延津县。
　　
　　1973年至1978年服兵役。
　　
　　1978年复员回家乡当中学教员，同年考入北京大学中文系。
　　
　　1982年毕业到《农民日报》工作。
　　
　　1988年至1991年在北京师范大学、鲁迅文学院读研究生。
　　
　　1982年开始文学创作，1987年在《人民文学》上发表短篇小说《塔铺》，引起文坛注目。
　　
　　主要作品有：《故乡天下黄花》、《故乡相处流传》、《故乡面和花朵》、《塔铺》、《一地鸡毛》、《温故一九四二》、《手机》等。
