　　宋州(今河南登封) 人，開元二十三年第一名進士，但做過河南尉一類的小官。曾隱居河南嵩山。以《試明堂火珠》詩得名。其詩多寫景摹物，同時寄寓鄉愁友思。詞句對仗工整，辭氣多悲。代作有《早交崖山還太室作》、《奉試明堂火珠》、《途中曉》、《緱（音gou溝）山廟》、《登水門樓，見亡友張貞期題望黃河詩，因以感興》、《對雨送鄭陵》等。其詩中“天淨光難滅，生望欲無”、“澗水流年月，山變古今”、“旅望因高，鄉心遇物悲”、“流落年將晚，悲涼物已”等都是極佳的對句。詩一（全唐詩上第一百五十五）。
