　　西魏文帝元宝炬（507年-551年）是西魏的开国君主。他的祖父是北魏孝文帝，父亲是京兆王元愉，母杨氏。
　　
　　元宝炬在宣武帝时因为父亲获罪受牵连，年幼的一众兄弟皆被幽禁在宗正寺，在宣武帝死后才重获自由，被叔叔元怿收养。530年被封为南阳王。534年跟随孝武帝入关中投靠宇文泰。孝武帝死后，元宝炬在535年正月被宇文泰拥立为帝，改元大统，政权实际上由宇文泰操控。551年三月，元宝炬死，长子元钦嗣位。
