　　西魏文帝元寶炬（507年-551年）是西魏的開國君主。他的祖父是北魏孝文帝，父親是京兆王元愉，母楊氏。
　　
　　元寶炬在宣武帝時因為父親獲罪受牽連，年幼的一衆兄弟皆被幽禁在宗正寺，在宣武帝死後纔重獲自由，被叔叔元懌收養。530年被封為南陽王。534年跟隨孝武帝入關中投靠宇文泰。孝武帝死後，元寶炬在535年正月被宇文泰擁立為帝，改元大統，政權實際上由宇文泰撡控。551年三月，元寶炬死，長子元欽嗣位。
