南齐
萧道生，字孝伯，萧承之的次子。南朝宋的时候官居奉朝请，在弟弟萧道成当皇帝前就去世了。建元元年（479年），萧道成建立南齐，追封
萧道生为始安王，谥号贞。
萧道生有三子：靖世子（始安靖王）萧凤、萧鸾、安陆昭王萧缅。萧鸾在494年废杀皇帝萧昭业（萧道成的曾孙），改立昭业之弟萧昭文；不久又废萧昭文为海陵王自立为帝，改元建武，追尊父亲
