劉賀（前92年－前59年），史稱
昌邑王，西漢第九位皇帝（前74年在位）。五歲時襲父劉髆封為
昌邑王，最初李廣利、劉屈氂因為策劃謀立
昌邑王劉髆為太子，被武帝識破而滅族。前74年六月霍光等迎立他繼位。
據《漢書·霍光金日磾傳》載劉賀罪行：“受璽以來二十七日，使者旁午，持節詔諸官署徵發，凡千一百二十七事。”劉賀在即位二十七天內，就幹了一千一百二十七件荒唐事，平均一天四十件。霍光以其不堪重任，與大臣奏請上官太後（霍光外孫女）下詔，於同月廢黜了他，並親自送他回到封地昌邑，削去王號，給他食邑二千戶。同年，霍光尊立戾太子唯一的遺孫劉病已為帝。
元康二年，霍光寫信給山陽太守張敝：“謹備盜賊，察往來賓客。毋下所賜書。”要求當地官員密切監視劉賀。從各種證據看來，劉賀之立廢，實乃削權之舉。前63年漢宣帝封劉賀為海昏侯。
