周惠王，（卒於前653年或前652年），姓姬，名閬，東周第五代國王，謚號惠王。他是周莊王的兒子，在位25年，病死，葬處不明。
周惠王姬閬即位後的第二年(公元前675年)秋，為國，邊伯、 詹父，子禽，祝跪等五個大夫，由於莊王生前曾經囑咐要立庶子子頽為國君，對釐王病死後由姬閬即位十分不滿，就聯合貴族蘇氏，一起擁奉子頽，發動叛亂，攻打姬閬，卻被擊敗後出逃。子頽逃到溫(今河南省溫縣西南)，又在蘇氏陪同下逃奔到衛國。衛惠公由於怨恨周王收留了自己的政敵公子黔牟，就聯合南燕，支持子頽。這一年鼕，衛和南燕出兵攻入周朝都城，逐走姬閬，立子頽為天子。鄭厲公出面調解周王室之亂，沒有成功，於是就在第二年春俘住了南燕國君仲父，並且將流亡在外的姬閬安置在鄭國的別都櫟(今河南禹縣)，還將王室的器皿用具從成周搬到櫟，供姬閬享用。公元前673年春，鄭厲公和虢公在弭(今河南省密縣內)誓師伐子頽，鄭、虢聯軍很快攻入都城。子頽和邊伯等5個大夫正在喝酒慶賀，措手不及，被聯軍殺死。鄭厲公和虢公迎姬閬回到都城，重新登上天子寶座。這場內亂史稱“子頽之亂”。為了感激鄭、虢兩國的援助，姬閬將酒泉(今陝西省東部一帶)賜給虢，將虎牢 (今河南省滎陽市西北)以東之地賜給鄭。這樣，內亂平息了，周王朝的疆土又一次縮小了。
姬閬在位期間，齊國繼續東攻西伐，兼併小國，擴大力量。公元前670年，齊軍攻滅郭國(今山東省聊城縣東北)。齊桓公問當地父老：“郭為何滅亡?”父老回答說：“因為國君愛賢人而恨壞人。”齊桓公不理解，問道：“照各位所言，你們的國君是位賢明的君主，那怎麽又會亡國的呢?”父老回答說：“國君愛賢人而不任用；恨壞人而不翦除，所以導致了亡國。”
當時，魯國的慶父(魯桓公子)先後殺掉了國君子般、閔公，導致魯國大亂。時人說：“慶父不死，魯難未已。”這就成了著名的成語。魯僖公即位後，索要避居於莒國(今山東省莒縣)的慶父，慶父自知罪責難逃，自殺於莒，魯國內亂纔暫告平息。
當時衛國的國君衛懿公酷愛養鶴，平時竟然讓他最喜愛的鶴乘座華麗的軒車，享受大夫的待遇，國人怨聲載道。公元前660年12月，戎兵攻衛，衛懿公率軍迎戰，兩軍相遇於滎澤(今河南省滎陽縣東北)。臨戰前，衛國將士埋怨說：“大王平時如此厚待鶴，現在就讓鶴去抵敵吧!”一時軍無鬥志，被打得大敗，衛懿公也被亂兵殺死，成為玩物喪志者的鑒戒。
姬閬晚年寵愛陳國的女子惠後，準備廢去太子鄭，改立惠後生的庶子子帶。公元前655年夏，齊桓公邀集了宋桓公、魯僖公、陳宣公、衛文公、鄭文公、許僖公、曹昭公，與太子鄭相會於衛國的首止(今河南省睢縣東南)，宣佈支持太子鄭為嗣君。姬閬十分生氣，就指使鄭文公背約去聯絡楚國，自己派人去聯絡晉國，試圖組成周、鄭、晉、楚聯盟，以對抗齊國。齊國先發製人，連續興兵攻鄭，迫使鄭國叛周親齊，使姬閬的計劃破産。
公元前652年12月，姬閬病死。死後的謚號為惠王。
