子鲍，宋昭公之庶弟。昭公七年（前611年），宋襄公夫人使人杀死宋昭公于孟诸之薮，立公
子鲍，是为宋文公。隔年，晋灵公即派大将荀林父与诸侯出兵伐宋，追究此事。但因宋文公得民心，又贿诸侯，诸侯反承认其地位合法，此事遂不了了之。
