宋戴公（前799年—前766年在位），原名撝，在位期間由正考父輔佐，愛民如子，受萬民擁戴，在位34年而卒，舉行國葬，人們長途跋涉涌進都城，在墓邊長跪不起，周宣王特賜謚為“戴”，死謚“戴”，其後子孫以謚為姓而姓戴。
