　　A· tānɡ mǔ · gé lún fèi 'ěr dé（ A.TomGrunfeld） shì niǔ yuē zhōu lì dà xué dì guó xué yuàn de lì shǐ xué jiào shòu， céng róng huò niǔ yuē zhōu lì dà xué “ jié chū jiào xué jiào shòu ” de róng yù chēng hào。 tā zài niǔ yuē zhōu lì dà xué de 'ào 'ěr dé wéi sī tè bó lǐ xué yuàn huò dé xué shì xué wèi（ 1972）， zài lún dūn dà xué de dōng fāng yǔ fēi zhōu yán jiū xué yuàn huò dé shuò shì xué wèi（ 1973）， zài niǔ yuē dà xué dú wán bó shì（ 1985）。 tā céng huò dé duō xiàng xué shù jiāo liú hé yán jiū de jī jīn zī zhù。

　　A. Tom Grunfeld (born 1946) is SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor at Empire State College of the State University of New York, specializing in the modern history of east Asia, particularly of China and Tibet.
　　
　　He holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Old Westbury (1972), an M.A. in Chinese history from the School of Oriental and African Studies ( 1973) and a Ph.D. from New York University (1985). He has received numerous awards funding travel and research from institutions including the National Endowment for the Humanities ( 1984), the Research Foundation of City University of New York (1985) and the State University of New York and the Ford Foundation (1993). He has also been a Fulbright Senior Scholar. He is often asked to comment on current Chinese and Tibetan affairs for the BBC and CNN International. He was a member of the US–China Peoples Friendship Association, and a staff member and contributor to its journal New China.
