  Fu, Chinese classical literature as an important style, although for modern man, its nowhere near as poetry, prose, fiction so popular.   除了诗、词、曲之外,历史上还存在过一种具有诗歌特点的文体,这就是赋。最初的诗词曲都能歌唱,而赋却不能歌唱,只能朗诵。它外形似散文,内部又有诗的韵律,是一种介于诗歌和散斆之间的文体。
  
  赋,起源于战国,形成于汉代,是由楚辞衍化出来的,也继承了《诗经》讽刺的传统。关于诗和赋的区别,晋代文学家陆机在《文赋》里曾说:
  
  诗缘情而绮靡,赋体物而浏亮。
  
  也就是说,诗是用来抒发主观感情的,要写得华丽而细腻;赋是用来描绘客观事物的,要写得爽朗而通畅。陆机是晋代人,他的话说出了晋代以前的诗和赋的主要特点,但不能作机械的理解,诗也要描写事物,赋也有抒发感情的成分,特别是到南北朝时代抒情小赋发达起来,赋从内容到形式都起了变化。
  
  赋,除了它的源头楚辞阶段外,经历了汉赋、骈赋、律赋、文赋几个阶段。
  
  汉赋是在汉代涌现出的一种有韵的散文,它的特点是散韵结合,专事铺叙。汉赋的内容可分为5类:一是渲染宫殿城市;二是描写帝王游猎;三是叙述旅行经历;四是抒发不遇之情;五是杂谈禽兽草木。而以前二者为汉赋之代表。
  
  汉赋在结构上,一般都有三部分,即序、本文和被称作“乱”或“讯”的结尾。汉赋写法上大多以丰辞缛藻、穷极声貌来大肆铺陈,为汉帝国的强大或统治者的文治武功高唱赞歌,只在结尾处略带几笔,微露讽谏之意。
