Dugu Ji
独孤及 唐代散文家。字至之。河南洛阳人。幼年丧父，得母长孙氏教导,7岁诵《孝经》，后遍读五经，重大义而不为章句之学,有“立身行道,扬名于后世”的志向。年20余，游汴州（今河南开封）、宋州（今河南商丘）间，与贾至、高□辈交往。天宝十三载(754),举洞晓玄经科，授华阴尉。房□许为非常之才，李华、苏源明许为词宗。安史乱起，避难江南。代宗时，召为左拾遗，历任礼部、吏部员外郎，出为濠、舒两州刺史，有善政。逝世于常州刺史任上。谥号“宪”。
独孤及古文，与萧颖士齐名，为古文运动先驱作家。他以儒家经典为学习方向，宽畅博厚，长于议论，用意在立法诫世，褒贤贬恶，不徒以词采取胜。所作如《仙掌铭》、《古函谷关铭》、《琅琊溪述》、《风后八阵图记》等，有古风格。韩愈为古文，以其为法，并曾从其徒游。两家同尚儒学，但韩愈□佛老，而独孤及学道家，是其不同处。
《新唐书·艺文志》著录有《□陵集》20卷，其中诗3卷,文17卷，为其弟子梁肃所编，权德舆作序，赵氏亦有生斋刊本有“附录”1卷，“补遗”1卷，有《四部丛刊》影印本传世。事迹见崔□甫《独孤公神道碑铭》、梁肃《独孤公行状》和《新唐书》本传。
