Very happy to meet again with you, to jointly cooperate and develop plans for BRIC countries. First, on behalf of the Chinese government and people and in my own name, the leaders and representatives of participating in China, a warm welcome!
21 has just entered the second decade of the century. Over the past 10 years, the world has experienced great development and changes and adjustments, peace, development and cooperation of times stronger. World multi-polarization and economic globalization, the emergence of new changes in global economic governance, technological innovation and nurture new breakthroughs in emerging market countries to flourish, the world is facing rare opportunities for development.
Meanwhile, in the past 10 years, international and regional hot spots come and go, affecting world peace and stability. North-South uneven development is still prominent climate change, environmental degradation, energy and resources security, serious infectious diseases, natural disasters and other global issues of universal concern. The current international financial crisis has not fundamentally affect the elimination of deep-level, commodity prices, global inflationary pressures, the world economic recovery, there is uncertainty, global financial governance is long way to go. First, a vigorous defender of world peace and stability. Peace and stability are the prerequisite and foundation. We should build a fair, just, inclusive and orderly international monetary and financial system, to support global economic development, emerging market and developing countries in the international monetary and financial system, the voice and representation.
We should build a just and rational system of international free trade and oppose protectionism in all forms, to strengthen the multilateral trading system, promote the early realization of the Doha Round a development round goals.
Third, to promote international exchange and cooperation. Our planet is the common home of the world's peoples.
