　　淳化元年（990）五月，御史台奉诏置推勘官二十人，以京朝官充，掌审讯重大刑狱案件。推勘官外出时，皇帝必令其不要牵连过多人，尽快审理完毕；回来时，皇帝亲自过问案件审理情况。元丰改制后废。
