儿中英惯用短语:
  • n.  你的儿子在所有教师的心目中已毫无希望了.   Your son is the despair of all his teachers, ie They no longer expect to be able to teach him anything
  • v.  你的汽车不能启动啦? 把阻风门开大一点儿（外拉阻风门钮让更多的空气进入发动机）. =>illus at App   Won't your car start? Try giving it a bit more choke, ie letting more air into the engine by pulling out the choke.
  •   你的汽车在哪儿呢?＇｀在车库里＇.   Where's your car?' `It's in the garage.' ｀
  • n.  你的汽车多少号儿? =>App 4 见附录4, Cf 参看 cardinal number (cardinal1), ordinal number (ordinal).   What's the number of your car?
  • n.  你的立体声音响设备在哪儿呢? Cf 参看 mono.   Where's your stereo?
  • adv.  你看见我的书了吗? 不知道搁哪儿了.   Have you seen my book? It seems to have gone astray
  • adj.  你看见语法书在哪儿呢吗? 词典都在正对著的书架上.   Can you see where the grammar books are? The dictionaries are on the shelf directly opposite
  •   你看见那个男孩儿了吗?   Did you see that boy?
  • n.  你眼睛那儿可青了一块.   That's quite a shiner you've got there
  • adj.  你穿的毛衣里儿冲外了.   You've got your sweater on wrong side out
  • v.  你突然那样敲窗户真把我的魂儿都吓掉了. frighten/scare the daylights out of sb => daylights.   frightened me out of my wits suddenly knocking on the window like that!
  • v.  你给抱一会儿孩子行吗?   the baby for a moment?
  •   你能不能制止你儿子别惹上麻烦?   Can't you stop your son from getting into trouble?
  • n.  你能否借给我点儿钱, 帮我维持到发薪时?   Will you lend me some money to tide me over until I get my pay cheque?
