　　竇常，字中行，大中及進士第。隱居陵之柳楊著書，二十年不出。淮南節度杜佑為參謀。元和間，自湖南判官入為侍御史，轉水部員外郎，出刺朗州、固陵、潯陽、臨川四郡，入為國子祭酒，致仕。卒贈越州都督。有集十八，今存詩二十六首。
