Lilla won. Crescent Reader's Digest Writers Award silk, Asian American Literary Award (1999), Balcones Poetry Prize (1999), Indian Arts Foundation Award (1999), the United States Book Award (1996), Lannan Literary Award for Poetry (1995), and many awards.
