大藏經 Tripitaka
  大藏經,是將一切佛教典籍集起來編成的一部全集。起初叫作“一切經”,來定名為“大藏經”,“藏”有“保藏”的意思。因其內容十分泛,故稱“大藏經”,又稱“藏經”。
  
  其內容主要由經、律、論叁部分組成,又稱為“叁藏經”,分稱為經藏、律藏和論藏。“經”是佛教為指導弟子修行所說的理論;“律”是佛教為信徒定的日常生活所應遵守的規則;“論”是佛教弟子們為闡明經的理論的着述。
  
  佛教經典的總稱。內容分經(釋迦牟尼在世時的說教和來增入的少數佛教徒的說教)、律(釋迦牟尼為信徒定的必須遵守的儀規)、論(關於佛教教理的闡述或解釋)三藏,包括印度、中國等國的佛教著述在內。有漢、藏、蒙、滿、西夏、日和巴利文等多文本。
  
  佛教典籍的總稱。 南北朝 時稱“一切經”, 隋 以始有此稱。原指漢文佛典,現泛指一切文的佛典的叢書。
