　　字元均，其先京兆人，徙居信都。生於宋真宗鹹平六年，卒於仁宗嘉佑六年，年五十九歲。少卓犖有大志。舉進士，又舉賢良方正。補江陵推官，為太常丞。夏竦經略陝西，闢為判官。保州之役，況坑殺敵卒數百人，朝廷壯其决。纍擢觀文殿學士，提舉景靈宮，卒。況著有奏議三十捲，《宋史本傳》儒林公議二捲，《四庫總目》並傳於世。
