　　字元均，其先京兆人，徙居信都。生于宋真宗咸平六年，卒于仁宗嘉佑六年，年五十九岁。少卓荦有大志。举进士，又举贤良方正。补江陵推官，为太常丞。夏竦经略陕西，辟为判官。保州之役，况坑杀敌卒数百人，朝廷壮其决。累擢观文殿学士，提举景灵宫，卒。况著有奏议三十卷，《宋史本传》儒林公议二卷，《四库总目》并传于世。
