席慕蓉(1943年10月15日-),国立台湾师范大学美术系毕业。出生于中华民国重庆市,成长于台湾,父母皆为来自内蒙古的蒙古人,蒙古语名为穆伦·席连勃,意即大江河,“慕蓉”是“穆伦”的谐译。台湾现代中文散文家、女诗人、知名画家。 曾于新竹师院、东海大学美术系任教。1981年,台湾大地出版席慕蓉的第一本诗集《七里香》。

生平

生于重庆,籍贯内蒙察哈尔盟明安旗(今为内蒙古自治区锡林郭勒盟正镶白旗),父亲是察哈尔盟明安旗的拉席敦多克(汉名席振铎,蒙古察哈尔部选出之第一届立法委员;母亲是昭乌达盟克什克腾旗巴音比力格(汉名乐竹芳),蒙古察哈尔八旗群选出之第一届国民大会代表
 
祖籍蒙古,生于四川,童年在香港度过,成长于台湾。于台湾师范大学美术系毕业后,赴欧深造。1966年以第一名的成绩毕业于比利时布鲁塞尔皇家艺术学院。
在国内外举行个展多次,曾获比利时皇家金牌奖、布鲁塞尔市政府金牌奖、欧洲美协两项铜牌奖、金鼎奖最佳作词及中兴文艺奖章新诗奖等。担任台湾新竹师范学院教授多年,现为专业画家。
著作有诗集、散文集、画册及选本等五十余种,读者遍及海内外。近十年来,潜心探索蒙古文化,以原乡为创作主题。现为内蒙古大学、宁夏大学、南开大学、呼伦贝尔学院、呼和浩特民族学院等校的名誉(或客座)教授,内蒙古博物院荣誉馆员,鄂温克族及鄂伦春族的荣誉公民。
诗作被译为多国文字,在蒙古国、美国及日本均有单行本出版发行。


Xi Murong (Chinese席慕容pinyinXí Mùróng; born 1943) is a writer and painter. She is most famous for her poetry, especially the collections Qi li xiang (Seven-li scent) and Wuyuan de qingchun (Unregrettable Youth).

Personal life

On 15 October 1943, Xi was born in Sichuan, China.

In 1949, Xi moved to Hong Kong with her family.

In 1953, Xi moved to Taiwan.

In 1959, Xi entered the National Taiwan Normal University, and majored in Fine Art.

In 1963, Xi graduated from National Taiwan Normal University, and started to teach in Taipei Renai Middle School.

In 1964, Xi entered the Academie Royale des Beaux-Arts, in Belgium, and majored in Senior Oil-Painting.

In February 1966, Xi held her first art exhibition in Beijing.

In 1974, Xi held her first art exhibition in Taiwan.

In 1976, Xi participated in Union Noval Price and get reward.
