安妮.勃朗特，Anne Bronte，1820年出生於英格蘭北部約剋郡的一個教區牧師家庭，是勃朗特姐妹中的小妹妹,她比夏洛蒂.勃朗特小四歲,比艾米莉.勃朗特小兩歲。兩位姐姐夏洛特和艾米莉分別以《簡.愛》和《呼嘯山莊》享有盛譽。安妮.勃朗特十九歲時到米爾菲爾德的英漢姆傢任了八個月的家庭教師，1840至1845年間又在梭普格林的羅賓遜傢任家庭教師。兩次的家庭教師生涯使她積纍了豐富的生活素材，成為她日後文學創作的基礎。1847年艾米莉的《呼嘯山莊》和安妮的第一部帶有自傳色彩的長篇小說《阿格尼絲.格雷》同時出版。1848年，安妮又出版了她的第二部長篇小說《懷爾德菲爾府的房客》。正當安妮的小說藝術日趨成熟時，不幸因結核病惡化而去世，年僅二十九歲。安妮.勃朗特的小說風格與她的兩位姐姐不同，文風與奧斯丁頗為相似。
