Second-generation Chinese American, graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1972, the settlement of Santa Fe in New Mexico. Published collection of poems, including "Wind in the Willows" (1972), "Two Crows" (1976), "dazzled" (1982), "River, river" (1987), "Islands" (1995), "the flow of red spider web: Poems 1970-1998 "(1998), and the newly established English version of Chinese poetry" Silk Dragon "(2001). Lilla won. Crescent Reader's Digest Writers Award silk, Asian American Literary Award (1999), Balcones Poetry Prize (1999), Indian Arts Foundation Award (1999), the United States Book Award (1996), Lannan Literary Award for Poetry (1995), and many awards.
