Has been Colombia, california muscle campus and the University of Los Angeles taught at Oxford University. He is currently professor of history at Boston University. He has written many books, including Lyndon Johnson's classic two-volume biography - "slowly Lone Star" and "giant flaw." He won the Bancroft Prize, and teaching in academic and many other awards.
