明月（1841-1868），原名張保山，貴州遵義縣新舟人。曾辦練，因故被縣令拘押。釋，冒姓，取名
明月，自稱是崇禎皇帝第十代孫，前往思南白號軍農民起義軍大營拜見首領劉義順。劉見

明月為秦王，沿用楊竜喜的江漢年號，順時為江漢六年。與劉義順率白號軍西，攻鳳岡、遵義、湄潭、綏陽、桐梓、連連得。清同治四年（公元1865年），白號軍農民起義推
明月為皇帝，改江漢十二年為嗣統元年，以正安為又一個根地，恢發達展生産。
明月立志反清，機敏果敢，雖為"秦王"、"皇帝"，但常常親臨前綫，披堅執銳、身先士卒，撤退時又殿、掩護部屬，深受將士擁戴。號軍先建立思南岑頭蓋、荊竹園、偏刀水、玉華山等根地。由於朝廷調集四川、南及貴州的官軍圍剿，義軍陣地先被攻破，同治七年（公元1868年）8月，川軍唐炯部攻陷上大坪，起義失敗，突圍時被俘，慷慨就義。
