河西鲜卑

秃发匹孤，一名疋孤，生于东汉末年，是河西鲜卑一部的首领，亦是后来五胡十六国时期南凉开国君主秃发乌孤的八世祖。
《新唐书》记载匹孤是北魏先祖拓跋诘汾的长子，但诘汾以另一子拓跋力微为继承人。匹孤后来率领自己的部落自塞北迁于河西，其地东至麦田（今甘肃靖远县）、牵屯（今宁夏固原市内），西至湿罗，南至浇河（今青海贵德县），北接大漠。匹孤死后，子秃发寿阗继位。
“秃发”与“拓跋”本来是同姓，《晋书》称“寿阗之在孕，母胡掖氏因寝而产于被中，鲜卑谓被为‘秃发’，因而氏焉。”另一说法是“秃发”与“拓跋”是同音异译。
