　　舒明天皇，日本第34代天皇（629年1月4日至641年10月9日）。628年推古天皇死後，朝廷發生皇位繼嗣之爭。天皇遺言由聖德太子的兒子、蘇我馬子的外孫山背大兄王繼位，但蘇我蝦夷違背遺言，擁立敏達天皇的孫、押坂彥人大兄皇子的兒子田村皇子為天皇。天皇即位後次年派遣第一次遣唐使。在位12年間，蘇我氏實力獲得很大發展。
