西突厥  (?618年～628年)

　　統葉護（－628年），西突厥汗國可汗（618年至628年在位），其統治時期為西突厥汗國的全盛時期。
　　
　　統葉護618年繼其兄射匱為西突厥汗國可汗，他與中國唐朝保持着良好關係，唐高祖曾以宗室之女與之結親。信玄奘西行時在碎葉見到的西突厥大汗就是統葉護。
　　
　　統葉護的武功極盛，他曾多次入侵波斯薩珊王朝，東羅馬帝國史料記載，希拉略皇帝就是在其支援下取得對波斯的决定性勝利的，兩人曾在第比利斯城下會。《舊唐書·突厥下》這樣描述統葉護的全盛時期：“統葉護可汗，勇而有謀，善攻戰。遂北鐵勒，西拒波斯，南接罽賓，悉歸之。控弦數十萬，霸有西域，舊烏孫之地。又移庭於石國北之泉。其西域諸國王悉授頡利，遣吐屯一人監統之，督其賦。西戎之盛，未之有也。”
　　
　　根中國史書記載，統葉護統治期遭到許多部族的反抗，尤其是葛邏祿。628年，其伯父莫賀咄暗殺統葉護，自立為可汗，國中大亂，西突厥從此衰落。有人認為他是可薩人的可汗札比爾,因為他當年與拜占庭希拉略皇帝在第比利斯城下會。
