姬克，谥号不详。有关他的身世，陈平在《燕史纪事编年会按》汇集众说，条分缕析，认为他是召公的儿子。因召公在周辅政，其子
姬克被封于燕（今河北北部），都城在蓟（今北京），是后来燕国的始祖。
