　　劉恆 (1954—) 原名劉冠軍。北京人。曾就讀於北京外國語學院附屬小學及中學。1969年人伍，在海軍部隊服役6年。退伍後在北京汽車製造廠當裝配鉗工4年，1979年調北京市文聯，任《北京文學》編輯。現任《北京文學》主編，北京市作傢協會主席、駐會一級作傢，北京市文聯副主席，北京市人大常委。在2006年11月第七屆全國作代會上最新當選為全國作協第七屆副主席。
　　
　　1977年發表處女作《小石磨》。1986年發表小說《狗日的糧食》開始引人註目，1985—1986全國優秀短篇小說奬。著有長篇小說《黑的雪》、《逍遙頌》、《蒼河白日夢》等，中短篇小說《伏羲伏羲》、《白渦》、《虛證》、《教育詩》等，已出版小說集《虛證》、《連環套》、《白渦》等。已有五捲本《劉恆自選集》問世。2004年在“北京文學節”上獲得終身成就奬。他的一些小說被改編為影視作品，如《伏羲伏羲》、《黑的雪》以及長篇小說《貧嘴張大民的幸福生活》。
