　　Male, Han nationality, 1957, Shandong Laizhou people. 1982, graduated from Shandong University Department of History Archaeology professional, the same year into the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Work. Zhou is currently the Research Office of Archaeology, Fellow, Professor, Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
　　20 years dedicated to the Xia and Shang archaeological research in prehistoric archaeological research and the origin of Chinese civilization, are also discussed. Is "Yanshi Erlitou site" one of the main excavation. He chaired a major national science research project "Chronology Project" in the "Town of Yanshi and staging of small town's" theme, from archeology to solve the Xia, Shang's boundary issues, domestic and foreign academic circles than in significant impact.
