Henry VI, King of England King Henry V and Catherine Houwaluwa only son, was born in Windsor, Berkshire. When his father died when he was born nine months, was declared king of England. Shortly after his grandfather, King Charles VI of France has died, according to Henry V and Charles VI signed the Treaty of Troyes, the British unilaterally declared that he almost became King of France (the French do not recognize most of Troyes Treaty provisions concerning succession to the throne between the two countries). Two of his uncle Prince Regent in England and France: Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester in England; John Duke of Bedford in France. The former died in 1435, which had been appointed regent until 1437.
