　　泽。尽管未必如此，却不得不防备。 　　 关泽府占地上千平方米，当中一座钢筋混凝土结构的三层楼 　　房，坐落在一片绿树丛中。高高的围墙，一般人是翻不进去的。 　　一个月前，围墙顶端通上了秘密电网，一旦有人非法攀墙，电铃 　　就会自动报警。院内放养着两只受过严格训练的狼狗，只要有可 　　疑的人进来，狼狗就会叫起来。 　　 因此，不走一前一后两个门，任何人都休想进入关泽府内， 　　警戒十分森严。门口设有执勤点，除原有的两名警卫员外，一个 　　月前又增加了两名青年部的党员担任警戒。 　　 即使这样戒备森严，康代仍旧为关泽的人身安全提心吊胆。 　　 其原因是，元且那天，她所倍奉的大日本光灵教女巫曾对她 　　说： 　　 “令年您家主人的人身有发生变故的预兆，您可要多加小心， 　　好好守着他！” 　　 她问女巫： 　　 “是什么样的变故呢？” 　　 女巫却不正面回答她，只是说： 　　 “这是神的安排。” 　　 这使得康代更加恐惧了。 　　 一定是有人要谋害他！ 　　 康代这样觉得。对于关泽的玫治活动，她始终充当着秘书般 　　的角色，有时也参与意见。这也许是她继承了她父亲——一位宪 　　民党长老的血统的缘故吧。然而，防犯暴徙这件事，对于身为女 　　人的康代来说，毕竟是十分困难的。 　　 关泽只要出府一步，就要带上保镖。最近，由于康代的劝说， 　　保镖又从历来的一名增加到两名。 　　 “不要累的，那么轻易就被杀了还了得！” 　　 五十岁的关泽容光焕发，他眨了眨小眼睛对康代这样说遣。 　　但康代仍觉得不可大意。 　　 “你可不要以为同是党内的人就疏忽呀！” 　　 二月十五日这天旱晨，康代对关泽这样说逍。关泽正在用面 　　包片就着鲜果汁和菜汤吃旱餐。这时，他忽然停住了手。 　　 “你是说友纳？这个人近几天干了一件怪事。” 　　 “什么事7” 　　 “他保管着党的保险柜，可是他偷偷摸摸地从那里面拿走了 　　三千万元现金。不知究竟为了什么……” 　　 “是非法挪用公款吗？” 　　 “不，还不能那么说。以后的情况，我已经让石田去调查 　　了。” 　　 “就是那个石田茂先生？” 　　 “对。” 　　 石田是关泽的私人秘密情报员。国会议员除了需要正式的秘 　　书以外，还需要这类手足。 　　 “是不是因为连续休假，银行关门，他需要现金，就挪用了 　　公款呢？” 　　 “当然是这样。不过，一般说来，一下子需要三干万元现金， 　　事倩就非同小可了。” 　　 “那会是怎么回事呢？” 　　 “比如搞暗地里的交易，用支票就会给人家留下证据，所以 　　就要用现金。” 　　 “那么说，这个人在搞什么阴谋……” 　　 “有可能。” 　　 说到这里，大门传达室的内线电话传来了石田到来的报告。 　　 2 　　 不一会儿，石田进了客厅。他身材矮小，显得有些寒酸，而 　　双目却炯炯有神。 　　 关泽穿着和服，不停地用手帕擦着嘴，从餐室里缓缓走出， 　　重重地坐到大沙发里。 　　 康代也在他旁边坐下，打算听听石田的汇报。 　　 “怎么样？” 　　 关泽单刀直入地问道。关泽办事很讲究效率，正因为如此， 　　遇事往往急于下结论。 　　 “是。” 　　 石田从兜里询出笔记本打开来。 　　 “那三千万元现金的用途搞搞楚了吗？”关泽急不可待地问 　　道。 　　 “我给当时在场的职员一些甜头，试探了一下，看样子他们 　　一点儿也不知遣。” 　　 “嗯，这倒也是。友纳不会对这种人说的。” 　　 关泽抱着胳膊点着头。 　　 “所以，只能根据倩况来判断了，先生。” 　　 “什么情况?” 　　 “三千万元已经归还了。十三日……” 　　 “这星期一开头？好快呀。是用他自己的存款还的吗？” 　　 “不，不是的。他把自己的高尔夫会员权处理掉了。不，说 　　得准确一些，他以此为前提，借了一笔款子。实际上，我已经设 　　想他会那样做，便布下了罗网，到被称做友纳派的‘极东高尔夫 　　俱乐部’去核实了情况。” 　　 “嗯，是吗，现金已经归还了？这样看来，三千万现金是用 　　到什么地方去了。还有什么情况？”关泽问道。 　　 “我觉得友纳秘书的行动可疑。”他迅速回答遣，“第一秘 　　里面一定有名堂，而且是很紧急的……” 　　 “是的。当然，我还调查了一下第二秘书酒井的情况。他正 　　在探听一个从前一直为友纳开车的司机井村光三的倩况，行动十 　　分可疑。” 　　 “我想知道的就是这个……”关泽不耐烦地说道。 　　 “我明白。关于友纳家的内情，我已经和一个叫中根礼子的 　　女人牵上了线，现在，正在请她打听。因为她是友纳夫人的好友， 康代想起了石田那身材矮小、目光犀利的形象。他表面上忙 　　忙碌碌，而实际上却和只会团团转圈的小家属一样，让人觉得很 　　不牢靠。 　　 不过，根据石田报告的情况来看，友纳的确把三千万元“付 　　给什么人了”。 　　 付了三千万元，还必须秘密处理的事，恐怕是不能拿到光天 　　化日之下来的。 　　 莫非是…… 　　 康代正对着镜子，目不转晴地盯着映在镜子里的自己的脸。 　　脸颊上的肌肉在微微痉挛。 但是……只要在家里，谁也休想碰他一根汗毛！ 　　 康代在心里说道。国会议员中就曾有过冒似自杀而实为他杀 　　的先例。他们之间的勾心斗角实在令人生畏。康代是知道这一点 　　的。 　　 她力所能及的是，至少丈夫在家的时候，她要竭尽全力来保 　　证他的安全。 　　 今年，自从受到“神的启示”以来，关泽府简直象个攻不破 　　的城廊一样壁垒森严。只要有人翻墙，电铃就会报警。 　　 即便进到院里，也逃不出狼狗的目光和嗅觉。 　　 警卫员也增加到四名，昼夜轮番担任警戒。眼下，只要保持 　　现状，即使老练的刺客，也休想潜入院内。 　　 康代一面这样想，一面又产生了新的不安，其它地方会不会 　　还有漏洞呢？ 　　 她站起来走出屋子，经过走廊，登上了通向三楼的阶梯。这 　　座三层褛房的三楼是日光室。东南西三面玻璃，天气好的时候， 　　即使是隆冬，也可以不用暖气而十分暖和。同时，这里很适于眺 　　望。 　　 从远处看上去，这层的玻璃房和二层华丽的彩绘玻璃窗非常 　　别致，象一座耸立在庭院树木之中的水晶宫。 　　 康代在朝南的玻璃门前停住了脚步。向下望去，透过自己院 　　里的树木，可以看见墙外的人家。 　　 “啊！” 　　 有个东西在她的视野中移动了一下。她觉得有点儿奇怪，于 　　是拿起了始终放在这间日光室里的小型双筒望远镜，朝那边望去。 　　 4 　　 康代注视着对面一座小褛的窗口。她觉得在这个窗口里有个 　　男人的身影一闪而过。 　　 居民楼里有点儿什么动静，这在平常并不值得大惊小怪。然 　　而，这时康代的心懵与平日不同。那个男人刚才好象也正举着双 　　筒望远镜在观寮这边的情形。 　　 真奇怪！她想。 　　 那座楼房的一层是“田晶电器店”，二层三层用做住处。 　　 “田晶电器店”的店主在去年年底突然去世了，只剩下老伴 　　和两个女儿。 　　 这家照理没有男人了。然而，刚才进入康代视线的无疑是一 　　个男人的身影。 　　 而且她觉得，对面那个男人，刚才似乎在肆无忌惮地观察着 　　自己的家。 　　 有人在监视我们，怎么办？！…… 　　 血液一下子涌上了她的头部。这时，康代的心理，几乎处于 　　一种被害的幻觉状态之中。 　　 她又一次回想起关泽和石田的谈话。 　　 那个人可能在侦察我们家的建筑结构和进出口。这可不得 　　了！…… 　　 这可以说是她的直觉。当然，并没有什么确凿的根据，只是 　　她自己这样认为。她把双筒望远镜放在日光室的木桌上，就惊慌 　　失措地跑下了楼。 　　 跑到关泽的书房前，她连忙敲了敲门。 　　 “我打扰你一下……” 　　 “什么事那么大喊大叫的？进来吧。” 　　 关泽话音未落，康代已经进了书房。关泽把转椅转过来，朝 　　她看了一眼。 　　 “刚才，我从三层的日光室里，看见对面楼房和三层一样高 　　的窗户里，有个男人正在用双筒望远镜向这里偷看。” 　　 “那又怎么了？有什么可疑的迹象吗？” 　　 关泽皱起了眉头。 　　 “这还不够吗？用望远镜偷看别人的家……” 　　 “这说明不了问题！咱们也常从日光室里向下看。” 　　 关泽是个很有胆量的男子。 　　 “不，那家电器行的楼里，照理是没有男人的，可是，我刚 　　才看见的，的确是个男的……” 　　 康代想让关泽知道，事情比关泽考虑的要严重得多。 　　 “她们家的亲戚朋友里，就不许有男人了吗？而且，咱们家 　　的彩绘玻璃窗又大又别致，外面的人都喜欢看看，这个你不是也 　　知道吗？” 　　 关泽俯的圆形大彩绘玻璃窗，是关泽自己特意按照奥林匹克 　　的五轮圣火设计的图案，直径有两米。 　　 “是啊，可是……正赶上这个时侯，我好象感觉到了什么不 　　祥之兆，所以……” 　　 “喂喂，你不要吓唬我好不好！听你说什么‘不祥之兆’， 　　我也有点儿紧张起来了，仿佛觉得这屋里就藏着刺客似的。” 　　 “不会有……这种事吧。” 　　 “是不是？……出了这个家门，倒是真有那么七八个对头， 　　可是在家里就没关系了。你整天忧心忡忡的有什么用？你那么提 　　心吊胆地向我报告这报告那的，我的心脏也受不了啊！” 　　 “请原谅！” 　　 康代低下了头。 　　 “用不着向我道歉。反正，即使有人要谋害我，也是在外面 　　下手，我尽量小心就是了。” 　　 “我是想，那三千万元……” 　　 康代刚要说下去，关泽却满不在乎地打断了她的话。“行了 　　行了，我当然明白，即使交到了刺客手里，那种见钱眼开的人， 　　也未必能干出什么名堂来……” 　　 “那可不见得，如果疏忽大意，也许就会有直升飞机或是小 　　型飞机从房顶上撞下来……” 　　 “要是这么干、就三千万元可太不上算了。专干刺客的都是 　　看钱办事，哪会这么卖命干？顶多干些朝车子打冷枪之类的事。 　　我的车上装着防弹玻璃，而且外出的时侯都穿着德国造的防弹背 　　心。我怎么能输给这种卑鄙的家伙！” 　　 “你的心情我理解。可是……十一年前，友纳先生的政敌杉 　　椅先生卧轨自杀，关于他的死，不是有各种议论吗？” 　　 宪民党政调会长杉崎吾一，有人称他是新派领导人，有人称 　　他是党的皇太子。十一年前夏季的一天，他忽然冲上横滨市内的 　　东海道新干线铁路，被列车象“绞肉”似的轧得粉身碎骨。 　　 他没有留下遗书，这个事件暂且被当作自杀事件处理了。然 　　而在当时，反对派杉崎氏的死，对于崭露头角的友纳来说是非常 　　有利的。 　　 “嗯，真是心狠手毒啊！一旦需要，他会不择手段，这一点 　　我是有切身体会的。” 　　 关泽重重地点点头，朝妻子微微一笑。从表情上可以看出， 　　 白天，同属福本派的干部三杉好太郎议员拜访了关泽府。 　　 议员们之间，多是表面上笑容可掬，而内心相互充满憎恨和 　　敌意的。据一位报社记者亲眼目睹，后来为人们所议论的一个事 　　例就很有典型意义。某议员在摄影师面前，与另一议员谈笑风生， 　　甚至相互握手。然而，照相机一撤，他见周围没有其他人了，嘴 　　里便不干不净地骂道。“这个混帐东西……”并朝对方离去的方 　　向“呸”的一声吐了口唾沫。 　　 时常看到这种场面的记者证实说，这还算好的，更有甚者， 　　其语言之污秽，简直不堪入耳。在这种明争暗斗、飞扬跋扈之中， 　　关泽和三杉同属一个派系，成了好友。这不仅是因为两人选区不 　　同，也因为他们从高中时代起就是所谓情投意合的故友。 　　 三杉来访的目的，是商量有关福本派的聚会事宜，打算把每 　　月一次的“三日月会”，增加到两次。 　　 在客厅里，三杉一见到身着睡衣的关泽，便开门见山地说道： 　　 “我认为，我们也有必要面向总裁选举，进一步加强本派系 　　内部的团结。其他派系每月聚会两次，你不觉得我们也应当这么 　　做吗？” 　　 这时，康代也在座。在商谈政治的时候，她通常是要回避的， 　　但与三杉的谈话却是一个例外。 　　 “行啊。这是一种示威行动，所以一次照旧在‘老松’餐馆， 　　另一次安排在‘圣柱’饭店这类的地方，开得隆重一点儿，怎么 　　样？……” 　　 关泽当即表示赞同。 　　 “嘿，咱们总是英雄所见略同，真痛快！” 　　 三杉光秃秃的额头在吊灯下闪闪发光。他只是在这一点上与 　　头发斑白的关泽不同。 　　 “这半年左右对我们来说，可是关键时刻啊！总之，我们必 　　须团结一致……” 　　 康代在一旁补充说道： 　　 “正因为如此，你们可要提高警惕呀！” 　　 “我这口子总认为有人要谋害我。我哪会那么容易就被杀 　　了！……” 　　 三杉忧郁地说道， 　　 “夫人言之有理，现在到处充满了危险。”顿了顿，他又间， 　　“有什么征候吗？” 　　 关泽替康代接过话茬： 　　 “哦，是这样……她说这是她所信奉的神赐给她的神渝。总 　　之，我看是小心无大过……不说这个了，怎么样？咱们玩一局 　　吧？” 　　 “玩一局？” 　　 “就是我们家地下室的那种高尔夫球，高尔夫球的短打加台 　　球似的玩法。上次你不是也玩过吗？” 　　 “哦，是那玩意儿！嗯，四个球穴……好哇，来一局！……” 　　 在这方面，两个人总是不谋而合。 　　 这种高尔夫球在芙国、加拿大、新西兰等国甚为流行，目前 　　在日本，这种球场也在不断增加。打法与高尔夫球的短打十分相 　　似，但需要打反弹球和越水球，是一种很有趣的游戏。正规场地 　　与普通高尔夫球场一样，设十八个球穴，而关泽在这个地下室里 　　建的是四穴场地，供自己和康代及秘书娱乐之用。 　　 2 　　 地下室里暖气设备很好，穿一件毛衣就十分暖和了。在日光 　　灯的照旧下，纵向排列着四陪场地。在第一球穴的旁边，有第二 　　球穴的发球扬。 　　 标准打数为二，这四路扬地由于是关泽请人特为设计建造的， 　　因而独具风格。 　　 第一球穴隔着一个水池，如果掌握不好距离，打出的球达不 　　到对岸就会落人水中，成为死球。 　　 第二球穴前面是个陡坡，坡上有条管子，如果把球打进管子， 　　就有可能一击便进球穴。当然，并不能保证百分之百都如此。 　　 第三球穴周圈有一道半圆环形墙，只要把球沿着曲线准确打 　　去，也可以一击便进。 　　 第四球穴前面障碍物林立，必颁象打台球那样，把球打到墙 　　上并反弹回来，才可能进穴。这个穴设在高台上，球碰到对面的 　　墙壁后往往直接反弹回发球场地，很容易成为死球。这是最难过 　　的一关。 　　 “上回和你来玩的时候，第四球穴比现在这个简单得多吧？” 　　关泽手持心爱的轻击棒对三杉说道。 　　 “是啊，没这么复杂。” 　　 三杉点点头。 　　 “改建以后，我也是第一次来打。如此复杂，恐怕美国的专 　　家也很难一击就进吧。” 　　 关泽显得十分得意。据说打这种高尔夫球的专家，一般的球 　　穴是一击便进的。 　　 “我呀，对我老头子说过，这过于复杂了。” 　　 关泽去美国考察原子能产业时，迷上了这种奇怪的游戏，对 　　此，康代心里很不赞戌，因此绦于脱口说出了这话。 　　 “不，世上无难事喽，只要肯干，就没有干不成的！” 　　 “那么，你先来吧……” 　　 三杉听关泽这么一说，便拿起了绿色的球。 “哪里，不行。我几乎从来不练习。我老头子每晚睡前总要 　　独自练上几回。” 　　 “哪儿有那么回事啊！……”关泽难为情地说道。 　　 第三球穴三杉和关泽都是一击便进，康代是标准打数。 　　 终于到了第四球穴了。 　　 “我来做示范……” 　　 说着，关泽谁备好轻击棒，敞了一下深呼吸，把高尔夫球打 　　了出去。球准确地打在侧面墙上并弹了出来，向球穴滚去。但是 　　非常可惜，在离穴口一厘米左右的地方，球停住了。 　　 球场上铺着平坦光滑的布料，球可以在上面畅快地滚动。尽 　　管如此，刚才的这种情形仍是常有的。 　　 “真可借！” 　　 三杉一边说，一边准备好轻击棒。与打普通高尔夫球的草坪 　　不同，这种场地上画有击球的路线。三杉轻轻一击，球便准确地 　　弹出来滚进了球穴，就象被吸进去似的。 　　 “好球！”康代情不自禁地说道。 　　 “我输给你了！” 　　 关泽的表懵显得十分惋借。 　　 “偶然，偶然，这完全是偶然的……” 　　 三杉深知关泽是个不服输的人，便笑着推说这完全出于“偶 　　然”。 　　 3 　　 下午，关泽先是听取了选区居民的意见，然后给党总部打电 　　话，忙个不停。 　　 在关泽心情不好的时侯，康代总显得十分谨慎。她很了解关 　　泽的脾气。他固执，无论什么事，从不愿输给他人。 　　 现在，关泽热衷于打这种高尔夫球，以至于在自己家的地下 　　室里，特意建造了球场。 　　 想来也真怪，政界和财界的大人物往往竟会悄悄地热衷于一 　　些幼稚的游戏。因洛克希德事件而出名的某大商行干部，就曾悄 　　悄地在公寓里开动电气机车模型来取乐。 　　 关泽非常喜欢高尔夫球，他从不下围棋或象棋，却迷上了这 　　种游戏。尽管三杉是他的挚交，但自己在棘手的第四球穴前败下 　　阵来，心里总觉得别扭。 “洗洗会好受些。外面变天了，好象突然冷起来了。”康代 　　说道。 　　 关泽进浴室之后，康代回到自己屋里，换上了紧身衣。 　　 为了保持体形美，她每天坚持做一小时健美操。 　　 健美室设在地下室，这个小房间，恰好在高尔夫球场的隔壁。 　　协助她跳健美操的是常住这家的三个女佣人中最年轻的小坂光子。 　　光子高中毕业，今年十九岁。 　　 康代走进健美室，拿起自动电话的话筒。地下室各屋都装有 　　自动电话，只要一拿起话简，厨房旁边小屋里的蜂音器器会呜响。 　　 “光子小姐在吗？”康代叫光子过来。 　　 “在，我这就去……” 　　 电话里传来光子年轻的声音。 　　 “快来呀，没有你帮忙，我的脊背就舒展不开呀……” 　　 说着，康代扑嘛笑出了声。 　　 的确，虽然康代已四十六岁，但她仍可以叉开双腿，全身前 　　倾到前额接近地板，身体非常柔软，这使她感到自豪。 　　 光子很快就来了，她穿着粉红色的紧身衣，这比康代穿的白 　　色紧身衣更富有性感，加上她那丰满的乳房，使人感到一种强烈 　　的挑逗气息。 　　 她们立即开始做屈伸运动。接着，做打坐的婆势，一会儿又 　　轻柔地跳起绳来，按照惯例做着体操。 　　 由于有暖气，两个人很快就全身发热，汗流夹背。这段时间 　　一切都很平静。 　　 过了一小时左右，康代忽然想到，他……从浴室出来了没有？ 过去，关泽在睡前也常拿着轻击棒去练习高尔夫球；因此， 　　丈夫的行为并没有使康代感到任何异常。当然，她连做梦也没有 　　想到那里会有什么危险。因为地下室只能从宅内进，外人是不可 　　能进来的。 　　 晚九点半。小皎光子收拾完厨房，正要回自己的房间，这时， 　　自动电话的绿灯忽然一明一灭地亮了起来，这是有人在地下室呼 　　叫的信号。与此同时，蜂音器也响了。府内虽然都是自动电话， 　　她对康代叫道。 　　 康代立即明白，关泽遇害了。但此时，她并没有想到事情的 　　严重性，只是急急忙忙披上宽睡衣，连滚带爬地冲下了楼梯，然 　　后和等候在那里的光子一起冲到地下室里。 　　 高尔夫球室只有一个门，那门开着一条缝。康代默不作声地 　　抓住门把手，刚刚踏进房门一步，就“啊”的一声惨叫起来。 　　 身穿长袖衬衫和高尔夫球裤的关泽仰面倒在地上，全身不停 　　地抽搐。电话的听筒垂挂在一边。他满脸通红，左眼正在不断地 　　往外喷血。不仅如此，更令人心惊的是，他的右眼上还深深地插 　　着一把明晃晃的细长刀子。 　　 “你醒醒……” 　　 康代勉强支撑着瘫软的身子，呼唤着关泽。可是，他已经连 　　张口的气力都没有了。 　　 “我去叫救护车！”光子说道。 　　 “快去！还有，让他们赶紧通知警察！” 　　 康代一面拼命支撑着不让自己倒下，一面终于说出了这几句 　　话。 　　 2 　　 救护车来了。关泽还没有死，攥住他的手，他还能做出一丝 　　微弱的反应。 　　 他被人用尖利的凶器扎进了双眼，这是确定无疑的。他的右 　　眼里还留着一把凶器，也许双眼都是用这把凶器扎的。 　　 总而言之，只要能救活关泽，作案的凶手和事件的经过就会 　　真相大白。在康代的护送下，关泽被火速送往东京女子启德医院 　　外科。 　　 且说警视厅的三辆警车到了关泽府，在严密的警戒之下迅速 　　地开始检查现场。 　　 现场情况是这样的： 　　 被害人关泽冼完澡后，于晚九点进入了地下室现场。他一个 　　人不声不响、全神贯注地练习着高尔夫球。此时，房门没有上锁， 　　因此，任何人都可以随意出入。 　　 凶手手持飞镖似的锋利凶器从这个门摸了进来。 　　 被害人迷上了高尔夫球，这种高尔夫球被称之为集中精力的 　　游戏，因此，即使有人蹑手蹑脚地走到他的身边，他恐怕也不会 　　察觉。 　　 当被害人无意中转过脸来时，凶手便向他的双眼轮番扎去。 　　当被害人倒下时，凶手逃跑了。同时也不排除凶手是从距离很远 　　的地方杷凶器投过去的。 　　 事件发生后，尽管被害人剧痛难忍，并且丧失了视力，但神 　　志依然清醒，他用手摸着找到了电话，叫到了光子。 　　 这时，他只说了“你……和你……一样……”这样断断续续 　　的话。 　　 接着，他神志模糊，终于倒下了。 　　 一连串的疑问出现在警官面前。首先，“你……和你……一 　　样……”这句话是什么意思呢？ 　　 具体地说，这个“你”是指光子而言，还是指妻子康代而言？ 　　对此，他们看法各异。 　　 还有，“一样”指什么和什么？怎么一样？这也还不清楚。 　　 并且，不能排除光子在慌乱之中听错了的可能。 　　 第二个疑问是，凶手是怎样潜入这戒备森严的府内来的？围 　　墙上的警铃并无故障，却丝毫未响。同时，院内的警卫员和狼狗 　　始终没有发觉什么可疑的人。只要嗅到外人的味道，狗理应叫起 　　来的，然而却没有叫。 　　 于是，他们自然地想到了凶手是否是潜藏在府内的什么，人。 　　那么，毒件发生的当时，人们都在哪里呢？ 　　 被害人的妻子关泽康代四十六岁，当时她正在自己的卧室里 　　换衣服。 　　 事件的发现人小坂光子十九岁。她在蟹室隔壁的小房间里接 　　到了被害人打来的电话。 　　 女佣人伴野亚纪二十三岁，当时她在自己房间里。同屋还有 　　一个长期住在这家的女佣人，她是女佣中年龄最大的高田良，今 　　年四十五岁。如果她们两人中任何一个值得怀疑的话，那么，就 　　必须把两人同时怀疑进去。 　　 另外，正门警卫室里有松本、山田，后门警卫室里有菊地、 　　羽川鲁自坚守着岗位。 　　 因此，只要他们不是同谋，任何一个人都不可能单独作案。 　　 很显然，作案动机不是谋财。凶手在极短的时间里下了毒手 　　后就立刻逃走了。如果说这是刺客干的也绝非不可能。 　　 线索只有波害人被害后所说的“你……和你……一样……” 　　这句话，加上凶手遗留下来的唯一物证——尖利的凶器。这把凶 　　器很可能是凶手从门口投进来的。 　　 这把凶器长约十五厘米，刀尖磨得-井分锐利，它与普通五 　　金店里卖的不同，形状象做草垫用的锥子，但又不是。这是一把 　　特制的凶器，当然，凶器上没有指纹。 　　 这刀子是干什么用的呢？……或许就是专门用来杀人的凶 　　器？……在今天这个社会里，还会有人使用这样的凶器吗？…… 　　 越想，谜越难解。 　　 3 　　 关泽波送进了东东女子启德医院外科楼。他的眼球被破坏了， 　　并可能己伤及脑部。因此，尽管医生为他做了三个多小时的手术， 　　但能否保住性命还很难断言。 我要亲自查明真相…… 　　 4 　　 康代的这个愿望出乎意料地很快就实现了。 　　 天亮的时候，躺在氧气舱里的关泽被送进特护病房后，石田 　　看望他来了。 　　 非常凑巧，石田来的时候，病房里没有其他人。 　　 尽管外面很冷，石田只穿着薄薄的风雨衣。平时显得寒酸的 　　石田，此时在康代眼里却不可思议地变成了一个可靠的人物。 　　 “夫人，怎么说才好呢？我吓了一大跳！”一见到康代，石 关泽躺在氧气舱里，鼻孔里插着管子，嘴里也含着一条相当 　　粗的管子。当然，动了手术的双眼缠着厚厚的白色绷带。 　　 “这就是先生吗？”石田简直不敢相信自己的眼睛了。 　　 关泽破凶手用锐利的凶器扎伤了双眼，造成眼球破裂，视神 　　经损伤，眼窝破损，以至于脑部受伤。因此，医生采取紧急措施， 　　摘除了他的眼球。 　　 先生恐怕没救了…… 　　 石田作了最坏的想象。但是，他并没有把这个想法告诉康代， 　　就匆匆离去了。 　　 康代由于精神上过于疲劳，不能长时间站立，因此，只是在 　　宪民党副总裁井上武良来医院时，她才亲自出来接侍，然后就一 　　直在关泽隔壁的病房里和衣躺在床上。 　　 由于极度疲劳，剧烈的头痛向她袭来。为了使她镇静下来， 　　医生给她打了针，康代这才昏昏沉沉，似睡非睡地休息了一会儿。 　　 当她忽然清醒过来时，戴在手腕上的电子表已显示着12点15 　　分了。 　　 她半睁着眼睛，看见小坂光子正坐在病房一角的椅子上写着 　　什么。她也许是在家里待不住了，便跑来帮忙的。 　　 “我丈夫怎么样了？” 　　 康代一开口便问道。十九岁的光子猛然抬起头来，她的眼睛 　　里也充满了血丝。 　　 “先生……还那样，没什么变化。” 　　 “哦……” 　　 康代一面点头，一面闭上了眼睹。 　　 “没什么变化，……说明他还没有好转。” 佐久间沉重地说完，走出了病房。 　　 康代无意中看见了放在病房门口小桌上的一张名片，她的脸 　　色顿时变了。 　　 “他……什么时候来的？”她问在场的光子。 　　 “大约在一个小时以前……” 　　 “让他进来了？”康代恶狠狠地问道。那名片是友纳由人总 　　务会长的第一秘书神山五郎的。 　　 “不，没让任何人进来，我始终坚持不让别人进来。” 　　 “真的？” 　　 “是的。”
