　　追加保证金(variation margin),是指清算所规定的，在会员保证金帐户金额短少时，为使保证金金额维持在初始保证金水平，而要求会员增加交纳的保证金。
　　清算所为了防止出现负债情况，采取逐日盯市（marking to the market）的原则，用每日的清算价格对会员的净交易部位核算盈亏。当发生亏损，保证金帐户金额下降时，清算所便要求会员必须交纳追加保证金。
