heller baby syndrome, also known as dementia (dementia infantilis), the disintegration of psychosis (disintegrative psychosis), is a place in the early childhood, to degeneration of the cerebral cortex and white matter atrophy, lipoid degeneration as the main pathological features of brain degeneration . The heller first reported in 1930. The disease is very rare, less than 100 cases reported so far at home and abroad.
The main clinical features:
Normal development for several years after birth, 3-4-year-old on_set_, progressive mental deterioration occurred, the original loss of language function, and finally to full dementia, but still maintain the intelligent facial expression, without any abnormal neurological signs.
Early on_set_ may be associated with hyperactivity, anxiety, irritability, stereotypic behavior, no significant movement disorders. Developed to dementia within 1-2 years.
Unknown etiology.
Poor prognosis of this disease, the decline of the language and spirit of the sustainable development movement, in general, as little more than a few months then died within a few years. |
