　　夏至後的第三個庚日,是三伏中頭伏的第一天

　　通常也指從夏至後的第三個庚日起至第四個庚日前一天的一段時間。也叫“頭伏”
即頭伏 The first V
　　即頭伏。夏至後的第三個庚日，或指從夏至後第三個庚日到第四個庚日之間的十天時間。《史記·秦本紀》：“二年，初伏，以狗禦蠱。” 裴駰 集解引 孟康 曰：“六月伏日初也。 周 時無，至此乃有之。” 晉 潘嶽 《在懷縣作》詩之一：“初伏啟新節，隆暑方赫羲。” 唐 蕭穎士 《遊馬耳山》詩：“我來疑初伏，幽路無炎精。”參見“ 三伏 ”。

　　初伏，按中國的日曆法來說，這是真正暑天的開始。初伏固定為10天, 初伏從夏至日後第三個庚日始（稱入伏）。
　　天津的老規矩是：初伏餃子、中伏面，末伏烙餅炒雞蛋。
　　07年的初伏是 7月15日 （農歷六月初二，庚戌日）。
