簡介(brief introduction)
[a]在化石層中，最普遍的是古似鳥竜。它是一種小型的食肉類恐竜，這個族群遺留下相當多的化石，有時候保存了極為精緻的牙齒與肢骨。最初，曾經被描述監定成似鳥竜屬下的一個新種。經過研究，現在已經認定為亞洲似鳥竜科中最原始古老的一個代表成員。
古似鳥竜是恐竜傢族中的一種十分奇特的成員。它是一種身高像大鴕鳥一樣，雙足行走的虛骨竜類恐竜，體長約2.5米，有着輕巧、苗條的體形和與鳥相象的外貌。它的頭很小，眼大，上下頜沒有牙齒（可能有角質喙），脖子細，尾巴長，有細長、頂端有爪的前肢和強有力的三趾式腳。古似鳥竜善於奔跑，主要捕食昆蟲和其他一些小動物，也吃果子。亞洲古似鳥竜及其親屬在7500萬年前的白堊紀晚期廣泛地分佈在北美和中亞等地區。 |
