學名來源：sanyan，漢語拼音“三燕”，為前燕341年十六時期，鮮卑建立的前燕、後燕和北燕地方政權，以當年的竜城，即現在的朝陽市為都城。
保存狀況：不完整個體。
基本特徵：頂骨後位，頸椎有一腹脊，胸椎椎體長。尾椎不愈合，仍有較長的尾巴。肱骨近端較華夏鳥擴展，近端中央有一大而圓的坑凹構造，骨體直。肱骨稍短於恥骨，叉骨細，叉骨突很長。薦椎不愈合，趾爪強烈鈎麯，營樹棲生活。體態輕巧。但仍顯示出較原始的性質，如尚無尾綜骨等。
