| 省会莱州镇,与云南省毗邻，边界线长273公里，面积9265平方公里，人口32万（2004年数据），有铁矿、铅锌矿、金矿、镍矿、钼矿等多种矿产。2004年该省GDP增长9%。2005年预计进出口额可达5000万美元。其国家级马鹿塘口岸（也称巴南贡)与我国金水河口岸仅一河之隔，有中越友谊桥相连。目前马鹿塘口岸正在进行口岸经济区的建设，规划口岸经济区面积为43公顷。口岸距莱州省会莱州市50公里，河内450公里，距老挝边境231公里。 |
