苞片（bract）
在花或花序基部着生的变态叶，有保护花芽或果实的作用。通常把包被花或花簇的一轮苞片称为总苞（involucre），着生于花序梗上的小的苞片称为小苞片（bractlet）。总苞的形状和轮数为种属鉴别的特征之一，如菊科植物的头状花序基部有多数绿色的总苞片，鱼腥草的总苞片为四枚白色、花瓣状的苞片，天南星科植物（如马蹄莲）的花序外为一片大形的总苞片，称为佛焰苞（spathe）（图6-16）。 |
