由于在表演艺术方面取得一定成就而在观众中具有某种影响的电影演员。电影明星一词始于无声片时期，好莱坞的创始者之一阿道尔夫·楚克尔创建的“名演员公司”，选用优秀电影演员拍摄影片大获成功后，电影明星之称便开始盛行，并在世界影坛沿用至今。美国等西方国家制片人创用“电影明星”，是为了在观众中制造崇拜的偶像，从而谋取更高的票房价值。 |
