Show Map Contents ·百科大全 ·English Expression ·Thesaurus ·Related Phrases ·Containing Phrases ·More results... 百科大全 　　Yangzhou Shi 　　扬州市 　　Yangzhou Shi 　　　　江苏省辖市,中国历史文化名城和园林旅游城市,苏北水陆交通门户与工业基地。位于省境长江北侧，京杭运河与通扬运河交会处,有公路西通南京、东达南通,北接淮阴,南渡长江与镇江相通。辖2区及邗江、江都、泰兴、泰县、靖江、高邮、宝应7县。 面积1.2431万平方公里,人口924.32万；其中市区面积约148平方公里，人口43.44万。 　　　　扬州春秋为古邗国地。周敬王三十四年(公元前486)吴筑邗城，凿邗沟,沟通长江与淮河,为扬州的起源。战国属楚。 周慎靓王五年（公元前316）置广陵邑。秦改置广陵县。汉文、景之际，吴王刘濞开盐河（今通扬运河前身）,东通海陵仓（今泰州）,初步奠立今扬州水路交通形势。北朝北周初(557)称吴州。隋开皇九年(589)改称扬州。隋炀帝开凿通济渠，改造山阳渎(即古邗沟)，以通粮运，成为全国粮运、盐运转输枢纽。唐代扬州已发展为国内外商贾云集、 “雄富冠天下”的中国第1大都会。宋元以后，扬州屡遭兵燹和倭寇侵扰，商业趋向衰落，但仍不失为东南沿海一大经济中心。至清末，运河淤废，漕运中辍；20世纪以来，淮北盐运陆续改由铁路运输，遂趋向衰落。1912年后为江都县治。1949年析城郊置扬州市，属扬州地区。1983年3月改为省辖市。 　　　　市境位于北亚热带季风气候，温暖湿润。郊区农业以蔬菜、花卉为主，丘陵岗地茶园、果园广布。近年来工业发展迅速，主要工业部门有纺织、机械、电子、化工、金属制品等。扬州酱茶和传统手工艺品漆器、玉器、贝雕、刺绣、绒花、剪纸等均享盛名。扬州自古与苏州、杭州齐名，被誉为3大风景园林城市。蜀岗古木参天,环境清雅，可视为扬州历史文化遗存精华。其上有唐城遗址、南朝大明寺、宋平山堂、谷林堂、清西园及1973年修建的鉴真纪念堂等。市区其他重点保护文物古迹单位有瘦西湖莲花桥、普哈丁墓和阿拉伯文碑、史可法祠和墓、个园、天宁寺、何园等。 　　　　 扬州瘦西湖鸟瞰 　　　　 （单树模） 　　　　 English Expression n.:  Yangzhou City Thesaurus Yangzhou Related Phrases Consumer college Salt companies Salt (state-owned, state) enterprises Salt Administration Administrative villages Jiangsu geography Jiangsu Province More results...
