Description: like gray shrike, but the lower body and no white or slightly pink worm-like markings, the first white eyes, a broad white wing stripes, mouth and color lighter. Iris - brown; mouth - gray or skin color; feet - Partial black. Call: like Grey Shrike. Range: Africa, the Middle East, India, central Asia to Mongolia. Distribution: sub-species breeding Helan Mountain in Ningxia pallidirostris. Habits: like Grey Shrike. Note: sometimes the same as the Grey Shrike (see Cheng as the new, 1987).
