　　卧龙山位于海口至三亚中线公路78公里路碑向西4公里处，距屯昌县城4公里。山由4座山峰组成，山峦迭障，峭壁摩空，气势磅礴。山上奇石众多，有龙石，虎石、剑石、创石、石屋、石洞等，千姿百态，巧夺天工。山下有一龙湖，湖水清幽，绿树郁葱。

　　卧龙山处少榆中线干道旁，距屯昌县城11公里的一座石山，海拔499米。有四个山峰和几个高低不等的小山岭蜿蜒相连，状如卧地长龙。山上石岩等千姿万态，景观奇异。有龙口石、龙脑盖、金砖石、鸟石、仙人点灯、仙斋石、绑牛栏、补天石、仙女巷、仙女洞、石屋清泉等，自古以来就称誉的“卧龙山风景十二绝”，这些风景巧夺天工，惟妙惟肖，让人惊叹大自然的鬼斧神工。

　　1、卧龙山
　　卧龙山位于长汀县城北。《古今图书集成·州府山川考》载：“环城四面皆平田，就中突起一山，不与群山相属，如龙盘屈而卧，故名。又名九龙山，亦名无境山”。自宋以来即为汀州名胜，曾被称为汀州八景之首。山上有北极楼、金沙寺、千松亭、风香亭、新乐亭等名胜。尤以建于宋代的金沙寺较完整地体现了我国名山风景区的寺观建筑艺术。 登上金沙寺俯览长汀城内，名胜古迹，尽收眼底。 北极楼，又名玄武楼，始建于明代，清康熙三十年（1691年）重建。坐北朝南，土木结构，由门楼、经楼、正殿组成。占地2000平方米，正殿面阔3间，进深3间，单檐2层楼阁，台梁式木构架，楼下左侧墙上嵌有清康熙三十年重建北极楼碑记一方。
　　2、海南省屯昌卧龙山
　　位于海南省屯昌县城北约8公里的大同乡境内，海榆中线西侧。卧龙山是座久负盛名的石山，海拔499米，四峰蜿蜒相连，状如卧龙。传说古时此地时常暴雨不止，山洪淹没田园、山庄，百姓苦不堪言。一天龙受玉皇大帝之命下凡此地，吞云吐瑞，调风顺雨，为人间化灾解难。后经百姓乞留，天龙便永驻此地，以护乡民太平生活。　
　　卧龙山山势峭拔，怪石嶙峋，山峦迭翠，气势雄伟。山上奇石幽洞，千姿百态，巧夺天工，第四峰龙头峰上悬崖峭壁，高达数十米，是寻幽探险的好去处；山脚下有一平湖，湖水清幽，水映山青。景区林多石众，有龙口石、龙脑盖、金砖石、鸟石、仙人点灯、仙斋石、绑牛栏、补天石、仙女巷、仙女洞、石屋清泉、石床等十二处自然奇景，宛若神工鬼斧，栩栩如生，并称“卧龙山景观十二绝”。
　　海南卧龙山相关传说
　　相传远古时候，一神龙受天皇之命，降临此地，为人间消除灾难，乡民们方得安居乐业。为了千秋万代不再遭有苦难，乡民们便乞求仙龙永远镇守此地。以保太平，见到乡民一片诚心，仙龙便化为卧龙山，永驻于此。
　　3、河南南阳卧龙山
　　位于河南省南边边界的南阳，有一座卧龙山，相传是当年诸葛卧龙老先生的安家之地，三请诸葛就是在这个地方，青山绿水灵气十足！
