　　行政区划：2005年末，板桥镇辖板桥、牛补歹、玉马、舍邦歹、金鸡、品德、安勒、大鸡登、募补、乐岩、浙都、花红12个村民委员会，1个居民委员会，95个自然村，179个村民小组。
　　基层组织：全镇除辖12个村委会和1个居民委员会外，辖29个镇直单位；党组织设有总支10个、支部37个、党小组78个、党员1041名；有团总支13个、支部95个、团员1546名。
　　人口民族：2005年末，全镇总户数13359户，总人口51482人，其中：农业人口48186人，占93.6％，境内居住着汉族、彝族、布依族、白族、哈尼族、壮族、苗族、回族等民族，少数民族人口1915人，占3.7％。
　　集镇建设：“九五”以来，板桥镇致力于城镇化建设。于1999 年对城镇建设进行了全面规划；“十五”期间，先后建成了江桥街、吉祥街、居民文化广场、卫生院住院大楼、黄姜批发交易市场、辣椒专业市场、农贸市场，兴修了通往12个村委会的水泥路，巩固了东胜街、大牲畜市场，完善了教育、通信、网络设施。到2005年底已经建成了各种设施齐全的镇区面积2平方公里,累计投资8000万元。城镇化率18％。
　　经济概况：十一届三中全会以来，板桥镇党委政府抓住机遇，以经济建设为中心，努力增加农民收入，形成了粮食、烤烟、油菜、生姜种植和农产品加工、商业贸易、交通运输、工业、社会服务等产业协调发展的经济格局；2005年全镇镇内生产总值13609万元，第一、二、三产业比重为3：1：1.3，农村经济总收入45466万元，农民人均纯收入2106元；财政总收入1582万元。
　　文教卫生：2005年末，全镇有中学2所，在校生2806人，教师150人；有小学13所，在校生6472人，教师136人。中小学入学率99.8％，巩固率99.8％，劳动力年均受教育年限8.5年；有卫生所12个，有卫生院1所，有病床65床，有医疗技术人员94人。
