Anzoategui State (Spanish: Estado Anzoátegui) is a state in northeastern Venezuela, north of the Caribbean Sea, south of the Orinoco River. Area of 43,300 square kilometers, the 2007 population of 1,477,900 people. Capital of Barcelona.
