按井斜角不同分类:
直井：井眼轴线为一铅垂线的井
定向井：设计的目标点与井口不在一铅垂线上的井 。
水平井：井眼进入目的层时井斜角大于85°并在目的层中延伸一定长度的定向井
按井深分类：
浅井 H<2500m，
中深井 2500<H<4500m，
深井 4500<H<6000m，
超深井 H>6000m,
特深井H>9000m.
世界最大井深：前苏联 SC--3井 12869m
中国陆地最大井深：塔深1井 8408米。 |
